His career started in London in England where he worked as a builder and a foreman at Taylor Woodrow. He got to know about discipline, precision, and leadership in running building sites, leading teams and finding solutions to daily challenges.
David returned to the Morritt family business. His wish to expand outside the local markets in London. He took the company to the Home Counties, where he developed almost 400 houses annually.
He became the Chairman of Wealdstone United Football Club.Under his leadership the team won both the FA Trophy and the Gola League in 1985.
